    The emerging culture of student learning

    Misconceptions occur: scientific misconceptions are common. seasons happen ? Even science graduates are unable to accurately describe the causes of the seasons. 21 of 23 Harvard graduates showed common misconceptions
    Our job as teachers is to find out those common misconceptions before we teach. The survey tool demonstrated could help to achieve this goal

    Is adding technology alone able to add to student learning ? Common consensus is that this would not occur. More important is the application of knowledge through using technology

    Using wikis to stimulate thought before teaching allows teachers to answer questions earlier and allows us to again address common misconceptions

    Redefine the role of children in the classroom - peer teaching, screen casting ? eg. students use technology to teach a topic

    Teaching good research skills; globalizing the curriculum, teach empathy and respect
