We are affected by the media products wherever we go. In today's community we don't only see on the poster "We offer you a hamburger" for example. Now we can choose from many different brands selling the almost exact product with tiny differences so that they can own the monopoly on them.
Humans have the misfortune to be very weak when it comes to sweets, or something that sends endorphins to our brain which control many of our daily activities without we being able to decide how to feel about candy for example. Today the fast-food is a part of the food the children are raised with in most societys. McDonalds for example is attrackting the customers with only only food but with free internet. They offer to host children s birthday partys and birthday party's is somethingj to relate to a fun thing to do.
The risk of dying in a premature age increases if a person doesn't stick to a healthy lifestyle where they balance eating with exercising. For a few decades ago the thought of that this many people are overfed would have been impossible ti imagine. Back in the days, most people didn't have access to the food they needed to survive(some people still don't) and now they are throwing away the things that they need and change it to what they want, or what the brain is craving.
There is many people who benefits from the overfed people, many more than the people who doesn't(the people who have realized that their life style is unhealthy because they have issues with their body. The companies who makes the products. The number of directly employed people who make their living from making unhealthy stuff is huge.
In a long term the society change, or adapt to the people living in it, so if all the people are huge the cars are going to be larger, the seats on buses, or the airplane sheets. Nothing of that is good for the environment. All the money the I-countries spend on helping the overfed could help hundreds of thousands in the U-countries to survive and not die because of lack of food. Choosing a unhealthy lifestyle is never good in a long-term perspective.

I agree with your point! Oh and I've never thought about the last point: bad for environment because everything will get big.
I thought...hmm it was interesting and I think I learned something more additionally by reading your points!
