Air pollution in China

Air pollution is China is something that affects all people on earth now. Neither us nor the Chinese government can ignore the issue anymore. Something have to be done and not only talked about. Like it said in one of the presentations that the cities most heavy on the air pollution have reduced the amount of it but that A LOT of other cities have gone from green to "light polluted". The reason for that might be that polluted air have traveled from from the most polluted areas and not that they have been heavier of the burning of fossil fuels and coal. “Coal is indeed China's double-edged sword — the new economy's black gold and the fragile environment's dark cloud.” This is a quotation I found very interesting because I agree with what it says. Our environment is fragile and if nothing major changes occur within a soon future the future generations will suffer a lot of than we do. What I think is the main issue that stops the air from being more clean and humans to stop using fuels that cause bad air is MONEY. Everyone and everything depends on money. I'm sure that a lot of companies and factories wouldn't mind becoming greener if they got new equipment and stopped using it. But almost all companies and dependent on money that they have to make by themselves. Today during class when we presented many important and new statistics and facts was something I found very useful to learn. We live in China so our interest in how China increase their quality of the air should be larger than the people from the rest of the world. Many of us might not spend much more time in China so they don't care because we have enough money to migrate to another country if necessary, but imagine all those who are left. Generation before us have had the chance of doing something to stop this, I believe that our generation can be the last one to be able to change the dramatic changes happening to our earth before it is too late. Annually many thousands people die in premature deaths because of bad air quality. More and more children are suffering from asthma. using renewable things are a good way to solution. To stop the evil circle where all people have to pay tfor the factories wastegases is to give benefits and limit factories freedom according to my opinion.
